  1. citizens in a democracy rule the state with referendum, initiative and recall. civilians in an elective aristocracy vote for people, like some celebrity dance contest. public politics is just a game show, and "you never know what yer gonna get." bernie in office will be about as useful as barry in office. the senate was invented to make sure nothing disturbs the rule of the rich. it has worked pretty well, and will go on working until the civilians decide they want to be citizens. no sign of that happening, so let's turn back to the dance floor, and enjoy good moves and tumbles.
