  1. the debates are just a show, almost irrelevant to the political processes of the usa. presidents don't legislate, and most of the canned "i will.." nonsense is utterly out of their control. i frequently call it kabuki, but lately i realize i should search american culture for an empty show of foolish promises. pole dancing? fdr briefly had total control of congress and court, and yet here we, gilded age re-born. greed is like kudzu. only flame and poison will beat it. i hope bernie loses the nomination fight, and [insert name here] carries the can to defeat by trump. the economy will collapse, and the resulting great depression will give usa a chance to choose a new path.
