  1. the second amendment had a purpose. it was to create in politicians the notion that failure to serve the people might have fatal consequences. but it didn't work. martyrs in short supply, organized revolution hopeless due to disparity in armament between soldier and militia. the people can control the government, indeed, transform it into the administration. but that requires citizen quality people. like martyrs, in short supply. so you are toast. history's loser. when they have no tool but dispensing great sums to corporations, they are getting ready to emigrate.
