i hope bernie wins, and actually does some good. both are unlikely the establishment has weathered much tougher times. the structure of the state is very resilient- there was a brief window of opportunity in the 1930's when fdr might have been able to establish democracy, but he didn't even try. since the 70's, normal service has resumed, gilded age mk 2 in full flower. if bernie gets in as the usa dives into a second greater depression, he will have an opportunity, but probably overrun by generals. by all means, pray for bernie- but he can not save you. only you can save yourself and the nation by pressing for democracy.
