  1. what is striking about political 'discussion' in the usa is the acceptance of impotence. usa is not a democracy, no such thing as referendum or initiative, and the people are not citizens, only civilians. the resulting passivity while watching the actions of their masters is pretty much universal. even the people who 'criticize' their masters have no expectation of consequence. most only do it to make a living. everything is done for money, in the usa, plutocracy infuses every level, every facet, of usa culture.
