  1. educated adults might have decided the american political system was unfit for purpose. unless the education began with, 'selfishness is godliness'. some education, but that's the american heritage. there's no cure. i suppose the;r 'friends' will disappear as their power degrades. but such a large military has to be fed, and when you factor in climate change, canada will soon be joining the stars and stripes. perhaps greenland as well. not enticing now, but better every day.
