a brief lesson in 2 party, winner takes all politics: there can never be much difference between the parties because that would allow one party to make small offerings and create dominant majority. when both parties are dependent on rich donors, they both will speak for the rich. if one party gets sufficient support for a popular candidate by many small donations, this threatens the rich and the central party officers, and they combine with media to destroy candidate, and the party if it does not conform to the plutocracy. dnc got the message, and started counting the votes more effectively.
you don't live in a democracy. you don't deserve to live in a democracy. you tolerate plutocracy, because resistance is too hard, maybe even too dangerous.
they have plutocracy, it was built in to the constitution. they are not going to give it up to people who say, "may i have more, please?"
history is useful: democracy comes from a classical greek phrase, 'demos kratia', commonly translated as 'people rule.' but the translation is sloppy, because english needs a paragraph to translate 'demos'. 'demos' actually means the citizen warriors, active and retired. if you don't fight, you don't vote. this was true of swiss democracy too, until quite recently. it should be true everywhere, militias are not suitable for invading other countries, that needs mercenaries. vietnam taught american rulers that lesson.
relevance to biden vs trump? only this: you concern yourselves with flea bites, while dying of moral cancer.
