i hope bernie is not in office when the wheels come off. if he is a real patriot he would lose gracefully and allow trump to preside over the 2nd great depression. but there is nothing to be done for america. the dictatorship stage is not far away. the people are angry, and ignorant. the elite entitled and degenerate. the 'intelligentsia' shallow and impotent, no one listens because there is nothing they can say of value. at this stage in china's history, 12 men met in a shanghai bistro and began the re-birth of china. can't see that happening in usa. look to russia for your future.

the 'capitalism' they do in china has been working well for nearly 30 years. it's state capitalism, economics under political control. maybe usa should try it?

what does 'democracy at work' mean? it sounds like the workers tell the owner what to do. perhaps, after the revolution, but not now or any time soon.

@TheGroovyJones there were worker co-ops started in the great depression, a few lasted into the 1950's i think. my uncle was in one, timber and plywood, went bust in '54. but that has nothing to do with democracy. 'democracy' is the answer to the question: "who rules?" when the people rule, through referendum and initiative. california does this, and a few other states, they would be democracies if not under the rule of the federal government. very big if. the russkis tried to integrate worker co-ops into the state, 'soviet' if you remember the history. didn't last long.

@TheGroovyJones a second time, for slow learners- it is precisely because the state could dominate and ultimately 'own' the co-ops that they are not the answer to aristotle's question. syndico-anarchism is not a new idea, and has not lasted anywhere as a dominant political structure.
