  1. blame madison: he explicitly claimed his constitution would ensure the rule of wealth, "for the ages." however, inevitable is a great overstatement. revolution needs more than oppression. there must be planning, organization, mass mobilization to forestall military pre-emption, and none of that is visible in usa. i live in hope there is at least secret planning, but i suspect those childhood inoculations took something from american character.
