the usa is not a democracy. the democratic party cares nothing for democracy. if bernie doesn't win the first ballot, it appears he will not be the nominee. if the dnc desides to support someone else, very likely trump will win. they prefer trump to bermie. to the american people: i assume you realize that the usa is not a democracy, by now. a great many of you are perfectly content to be ruled by politicians, since democracy would lead to some amount of socialism. it might even lead to recall off your armies and special forces. can't have that. but what if the result was that every state with a genuinely democratic constitution decided the federation was dysfunctional and proposed secession? to the residents of those states, it's up to you to pressure the politicians to give up power, to the electorate. if you won't fight for democracy, stop pretending you have it.
