  1. the constitution was written to provide political stasis, and worked pretty well. the major goal was to insure the rule of wealth, 'for the ages,' and they still do. to get concern for the needs and desire of the poor and middles, you need a race of politicians of saint-like character, or you need a populace of determined would-be citizens of democracy. not sure if they must be armed, but can't hurt. that's what the 2nd amendment is for. you will see systemic change, for the worse, but this will not provide for the needs and desires of the poor and middles. as the rich squeeze out the last drop of productive wealth from the system, the passive and cynical populace will at last encourage revolution. this doesn't always turn out well, but plenty of change.
