  1. i wish bernie would talk about getting democracy. fdr talked like bernie talks, and what he accomplished was largely wiped out by the patient application of money to the political system. only democracy can make changes that last, and only democracy can make empty promises obsolete. the problem is, americans don't believe in democracy, because they think they have it, and it doesn't work, for them. but you don't have it, and that's why it doesn't work. the only promise you need to hear, and make real, is the establishment of effective and accessible citizen initiative. that is the foundation of real democracy, and with it you can make america be what the people want it to be. so don't get your hopes too high, bernie is offering a bandaid, and your nation has bone cancer.
