  1. china was smart enough to use usa investment as a stepping stone to the first rank of tech society. they may soon surpass usa. india will have to find another path, and i wonder if indian national management structure is capable of the great changes likely to be necessary. there are local patches of prosperity, but large areas of subsistence farming still.
