mayor pete will make a good living out of politics, but i don't think smart and eloquent talk can make much impression on the law and culture of usa. there is too much baked-in dysfunctional character to the nation. change must come soon, but it will either be martial law or 'socialism' by another name. andrew yang is offering a vision of the latter that deserves careful consideration. there really is no second contender. i wish i had some faith in the perspicuity of the american electorate, but odds are on the modern version of dim-witted smiler with a folksy name. america deserves beto, and will probably get him.
