  1. well, it is simply psychological engineering. it makes people in the west unhappy, as most are well aware of their social shortcomings, and glad that they private. i would support this kind of engineering if society was a democracy, and all public activities were indeed, public. that would largely prevent abuse. china is not a democracy. neither is any other state, with the limited exception of helvetian confederation. but, non-democratic though it may be, norway publishes everyone's tax records. a good start on encouraging public spirit through trust, supervised. well done, norway! well done, china too- if you escape abuse of this system. which seems unlikely, chinese people are much like the rest of us.
