  1. at some point, americans will start to use all those guns, i suppose. endemic banditry will be an easy transition from the turf wars of drug gangs. it won't do any good, and usans just don't have the political experience to knit together effective revolution. so instead of ruling with lies, their masters will have to show the losers the barrel of the gun. by then, usa will be well down any civilization ladder. progressives, so called, should move to the west coast, and prepare to break away as the federation weakens. california by itself is a viable midlevel nation, add oregon and washington, and a trade corridor from canada to south america could be established, 'south of the border' could be liberated from the cia, and the drug laws, promoting general prosperity. pack up, get moving!
