  1. if i weren't so old, i'd be worried about this. but there is an upside- reduced production and consumption will slow the climate catastrophe. there, don't you feel better? i'm pretty sure only democracy and socialism can save h. sap. from extinction, but severe economic dislocation is better than capitalism in full freedom. gives you an extra year to become a better person in a better species.
