if you think you have democracy, there is your major problem. to paraphrase the man who wrote the constitution, 'it is necessary to prevent democracy, and my constitution will achieve that end.' he was right.

@paulmccarter908 madison wrote the constitution, and explained the import of its various provisions, in a series of essays put before the state congresses. these essays are commonly referred to as 'the federalist' papers. should be basic education in american schools, except this would make clear to school children that their elders had stolen the nation for the rich.
