@dr.zoidberg8666 not necessary. useful, perhaps. the power outside can simply be people in every walk of life who want to be citizens in a democracy, who announce, 'i won't vote for any incumbent who does not support establishing citizen initiative.' using unions guarantees defeat. you must mobilize citizens, not machinists. usa has been here before, and unions failed, nowadays they are even less broadly based. society is fragmented and work does not define people as closely.
