  1. the cure for fascism is democracy. neither mr hartmann, nor any other public figure in usa makes this connection. is this a universal psychosis? in the early 1900's, the real 'progressive' period, california and a few other states published 'democracy' constitutions. limited in value by participation in the federation, but demonstrating that some americans knew and appreciated the value of democracy. since then, silence. no campaign of assassination has been necessary to suppress transfer of democracy to the federal constitution. usa 'progressives' just suddenly appeared to be bought into silence. and since then, progressives are merely 'progressives.' token resistance to oligarchy, entered as a profession, rather than a mission. everything in the usa is done for money, even 'rebellion.'
