you believe what it profits you to believe. usa education offers little assistance in knowing reality, so lies start off on equal footing. the dems lie, cheat and steal as much as the gop, in the fundamental areas of government: maintenance of empire and rewarding the rich. since they are visibly not the friends of truth or the common person, it is difficult for them to pretend to be different, anywhere. when all choices are bad, rational people quit looking for the better. the structure of the usa was corrupt from birth, the inheritors have no interest in reality.
