  1. if you accept a low class, the middle class will fall into it as the upper class extracts wealth. wealth and power are bound together, the only way to maintain a just distribution of wealth is to distribute power equally, once known as democracy. [see orwell's 'double-think, uses thereof.'] this was known to the founding fathers, madison spelled it out in some detail and invited the ruling grandees of the various states to establish his proposed constitution to prevent it. all acquiesced save rhode island, who put it to referendum, and refused the constitution. [temporarily, later joined, per force.]
