  1. useless! progressives took over the democratic party in the 1930's, but it was only temporary. it's not enough to occupy offices, you have to change the constitution. and politicians will never do that, when they're on top and can act, they see no reason to change anything. so change must come from outside government, the people must organize, must become would-be citizens of a democracy, must become the decisive element of society, must write a new constitution. are usans capable of that? are they citizen quality people? on visible evidence, no. they are cattle quality. that's why in a nation of 300 million adults, and even more personal firearms, 536 aristos can rule those millions. democracy? those poor cows think voting for which master is going to screw them is democracy. no hope, in such a nation of cows.
