'chaz' below mentions or at least implies, one of the virtues of voting with effect: it protects elites from being torn limb from limb. the usa is an elective aristocracy, and a populace with a shred of community spirit would transmute it into democracy, at whatever cost. but elites have evolved a pacification measure, called 'election.' they go on being elites, the people go on being screwed, but nobody has to die. that has been good enough to keep the rich in control, and unthreatened. i do not understand why americans put up with this, consequently, when 'chaz' implies he'll vote with a gun i am not a believer. my guess is, the american elite are unconcerned also. elites commonly do not detect threats, being insulated by police, armies and bodyguards. but if the plutocrats with cia help can find a 'lone gunman' to kill jfk, among thousands of 'chazzes' there is likely to be one who ain't talking, just doing. this is the dawning of the age of aquarius, much delayed.
