usa is basically a grossly larger renaissance italy, locked in greed and arrogance, and unable to capture the energy of the people, who are well-aware they are expendables. trump is not an aberration- he is the spirit of the age and usa society. there is no fix, we can only hope they subside into irrelevance without destroying the world.
