  1. not designed. just the natural consequence of history and human nature. socialism is necessary, to fit our population to available and sustainable resources. democracy is necessary, to ensure the nation is conducted for the benefit of all. is it possible, for homer sap to get and maintain democracy? on present evidence, no. and we don't have much time to improve. the elite is raping the planet, and it cannot endure much longer.
