  1. it tells me that respect for the political process is much eroded. never was absolute, of course. the uppers will express shock! horror! because the political process serves their desires, without the expense and danger of a secret police. it will get worse, because the uppers want more, always, and there will less leftovers for the lowers. guns everywhere, the rich will travel with outriders soon, in armored cars.
