  1. voting for politicians is not the answer. relying on politicians is what got you here. 'would-be' citizen action group whose only purpose is to demand a constitution establishing democracy might work. easy to do, scale up the california document, use citizen initiative to fine tune. but have you got a lot of people who want democracy? probably not. which is why the politicians will continue to rule, and americans will continue to be civilians.
