  2. why talk about things you have no control over? because you wish they were different? until you are a member of the ruling class, you are cattle. or just adolescents dreaming [operative word ] about what they will do when grown up. actual political grown ups want to be members of the ruling class, and when that class is most of the adults, it's called democracy. in short, first you get the power to do, then you consider the list of what should be done. pretty obvious, i suggest. why then do pundits never talk about this? because it's too hard. worse, when you talk for a living, you run out of things to say. capitalism is not a political entity. it's just a label put om greed and arrogance, that wishes there was no such thing as politics, that money bought everything the rich need, and is utterly unconcerned about people without disposable income. the political question is always, "who rules?" one, ten, a thousand? grouped as 'oligarchy." or most of the adults, 'democracy.' capitalism is no part of this fundamental question, for greed and arrogance permeates all human society in some degree. the constitution of the usa was written to preserve slavery and empower the rule of wealth. it expressly confined power to political aristocrats numbered in the hundreds, which in a nation of millions is oligarchy. the selection of these aristocrats is done by election, replacing civil war, but has nothing to do with democracy. citizens of democracy vote in referendum and initiative, elections unnecessary. so: saying 'health care should be free.' is a nonsense. it is the language of children. first become a citizen, a political grown up in a democracy.
