  1. we will never know, because everyone in usa thinks rule by politicians is democracy. refer to orwells 'doublethink' and 'newspeak.' usa is a functional plutocracy, with a structure of elective aristocracy - no democracy in it. never was. madison sold his constitution to the convention as a sure preventative of democracy, and he delivered. ignorance and cynical newspeak keep the people in the corral, but they are political cattle, even so.
