wikileaks is not working for the democratic party, so they talked to republicans. why not. and russians, why not? ja was in the ecuadorian embassy not because he feared uk charges, but because he feared immediate extradition to usa. and he was right to do so. he owed usa nothing- he's an ozzie. he worried that usa prison might involve torture, usa does that, worried that he might get solitary confinement for life, usa does that. so he didn't submit to usa capture willingly, very sensible. really, mr. hartmann, your relaxed response to the capture of assange by usa does you no credit.

julian assange did the world a great favor with his hacking talent. except for those in government everywhere. they hate him. i will never know what fearlessness[?] prompted him to enrage the usg. however smart he is, and skilled in the world of i. t., he is clearly unwise. pray for him, protest for him, offer him legal assistance if he ever gets near a court, but he looks like a man with a bonfire in his future.

no use saying journalism needs to be protected, if you are unwilling to call for democracy. assange irritated the usa govenment who, through uk government, has kept ja in a box for years. likely he will be in a usa box, for years. this is the natural result of government, which likes to keep their nasty side secret. a democracy has to be run in public, so that its masters, the electorate, has the facts needed for decision, and can protect itself from over-ambitious officers of state. with no secrets, no need for censorship. no use complaining about government, the problem is in the people, raised to be cattle, and content with that status.
