  1. normally, plutocracies are an informal system of rule- the plutocrat subsidizes general, or politicians, or priests, who do the public management of the society. but not usa. the usa is watching a demonstration of plutocracy by direct action. marvelous! it's been awhile since i felt that old 'only in america!' feeling. i hope this scours off any feeling of democracy in the federal government of the usa. but of course, people assert that america is some kind of [ insert weasel word here] 'democracy,' better even than the real thing. this is done not out of conviction, but for convenience. orwell's 'doulbe-think' encapsulated the phenomenon well, though he thought the ussr was the chief user, poor deluded fool that he was.
