  1. you don't have democracy, to begin with. voting for people is not democracy. call it 'elective aristocracy..' in reality, it is [informally] a plutocracy. you are totally disconnected from the management of your society, unless you are rich enough to bribe an officer of state. you call it 'democracy' because you have been trained from childhood to accept that your status of consumer unit is the same as 'citizen.' it is not. don't worry about the electoral college, that's a trivial distraction. you have much bigger problems that your masters don't want you to notice. and you don't notice, so your childhood training has been brilliantly successful.
