"we, the people..." is the first lie. the people were not consulted about the constitution, except in rhode island. they had a referendum, and rejected it. with that start, you are warned that usa is run for the rich. much is made of 'freedom,' which includes the freedom to prosper, and the freedom to starve. i don't know why americans put up with this constitution, in other countries, they have revolutions. mostly they don;t work out, but lately the chinese revolution seems brilliantly successful. america needs a new constitution, and that means a transfer of power, and that means violence. usually. but if 90% of the people said "we're going to have a socialist democracy," the 10% might pack their bags and leave for ireland. the irish would welcome them, assuming they brought a lot of money, and everyone would be better off. right, there's the plan, execute!

  2. you got here when james madison sold his constitution to the grandees that controlled state congresses. his major selling point was that it would prevent the taxes of the rich being diverted to the uses of the poor. and it worked. he concentrated political power in the hands of a few hundred politicians, a number small enough that they could be owned by the rich for much less than the cost of taxes. you stay here by being ignorant, submissive and selfish. no cure in sight, usa has had a good run, chiefly due to geography, but prospects are depressing.
