  1. maybe america should try democracy? it works in some american states, notably california. elections do not get good management. they don;t even get honest triers. that's because elections are civil war, evolved from clash of armies into battles at the polling table. elections just select people who want to rule. possibly the last group you want in office. democracy is rule by referendum, not people. and citizen initiative is the sovereign law. only democracy demands open administration of the nation, which greatly reduces the scope for corruption and incompetence in national management. didn't they explain this to you in school? of course they didn't. but you can figure it out. some of you?

  2. polite don't work. vituperation don't work. a nation of slaves is not going to get off their knees. serves'em right- they began on the backs of slaves, and it seems to have infected the character.
