  1. there is a system, but it has only one goal, 'allowing the rich to get richer.' the other consequences were considered tolerable, by the people who shaped the system.. so the system works fine, to its design parameters. if you don't like the consequences, you must change the system. but there is no visible understanding of this logical necessity in the usa. truly a nation frozen into paralysis by habit and myth. the austro-hungarian empire was a notable example of this political disease. went from 'great power' to 'non-existent'' in about 5 years time. gives me hope that i may watch the extinction of the 'evil empire' before death.
