  2. there is no danger to democracy when you don't have democracy, and presumably don't even know what it is. trump is some danger to the empty myths americans like to use, to justify poverty at home and murder abroad. trump is rightly contemptuous of the people who put him in power- the democratic party, as they call themselves. he is rightly contemptuous of any american who despises democracy while purporting to defend it. trump knows what his nation is, sociopaths like himself or hypocrites who wrap themselves in various virtues while screwing the poor and murdering for profit abroad.

"previously democratic government?" what are you smoking! switzerland was surrounded by axis, now euro nations and remains a democracy. other nations, ruled by gangs who call themselves parties, find that different gangs takeover. and have bad names for the winners. are some of those gangs better than others? yes, but it is notable that only 'the' democracy said "we'll die before surrender, and so will a lot of you." you cheapen the word democracy, and muddy the idea of citizen self-rule, by using 'democracy' as a substitute for elective oligarchy.
