  1. don't they have history classes in high school, anymore? the whole purpose of the constitution is to enable the rich to rule, as they have for most of usa existence. there was a small shift caused by the great depression, which brought the seeds of socialism to usa, and the soldiers returning from ww2 needed to be employed, but the 'new deal' and 'gi bill' put out the fire. normal service returned, and the rich bought back their nation, one politician at a time. it is pointless to blame reagan, or credit him with great political acumen. he was just using the tools created for him by madison. there was never a time when the rich were not pressing for control of the nation, and using it to further enrich themselves. there is no cure but revolution, and the rich will never go quietly- they own the army. don't despair- the army is the refuge of the poor, and nowadays the officers come from that demographic as well. sometimes you get a rebel in uniform.

  2. that doesn't actually improve the economy. but it does lift the economy if the poor use the money to get an education. so make public education free and universal. people can't contribute if they are ill, so make free medical support universal. good idea to make sure young people get enough good food too. in short, socialism pays.
