  1. not many people have rights in usa. 'rights' are freedoms held by the ruling class, in the usa that is a few hundred politicians, and a few thousand plutocrats that have the politicians on speed-dial. most people have privileges, which are freedoms extended by the ruling class to useful people - employed and submissive. they can be withdrawn by the politicians, as here we see. that is the nature of privileges. if you are too frightened to fight, or too lazy, or too dim to understand that politics is about power, not wishes, then you will be a member of the lower class, in a society with an upper class. democracy is not free, and not natural. it only comes by struggle, either violent or with the threat of violence. so far, the people of usa have not understood this.
