  1. the answer is quite simple.: stop voting for politicians. make them obsolete. vote for referenda, regularly and often. vote for initiatives, occasionally, as needed. there's a word for this kind of society, it's called 'democracy.' you keep talking about it, as though you had it. but you don't. is this insanity, or just national dimwittery?
