the thing is, usa is not a democracy. and you are not citizens. the usa is, always has been, an elective oligarchy, and you are just civilians. why are these words not used? because control with language pollution is much cheaper than regulation backed by violence. because the people do not rule, while members of the elite may contend for power, they support one another against the people.
