  1. back around 1900, corruption in state governments got so bad, that a 'progressive' movement 'democratized' several states- notably california, which could be a large and prosperous nation if independent. [ hint: it's called 'secede' ] modern progressives are nothing like that, the limit of their aspiration is a fairy god mother in office over them. but i digress. it sounds like trump really is a traitor, as well as a conman. if so, it's president for life, or jail, unless he can slip out of the country and disappear. but trump is not your main problem. a political system that let's such a creature near public office is hopelessly defective, from the point of view of sane and educated people. it was never meant to be anything but a tool of slave plantation grandees, although it has staggered along as a device of rule for wealth in general. trump is not smart enough to be a dictator, but he might be a bridging face for pompeo or similar sociopaths with access to killers and bandits. life is much more interesting lately, innit.
