  1. the death of democracy in britain will not happen until the birth has happened, in the normal course of things. and that is not yet, and since no one in britain has any notion of what democracy is, gestation unlikely to succeed. pommy cousins, democracy can not happen in a nation with a monarch, neither can it happen in a nation whose people are content to submit to the rule of politicians, as they are functionally subjects, not citizen quality. not yer fault of course, a thousand years or yer figurative knees, bound to result in selective breeding towards fore-lock tugging and curtsey dipping.
