  1. israel may imagine it can maintain military superiority forever, or perhaps just can't think of a way to appease the hatred they have inspired over the last hundred years. it can't be much fun to be a young person in israel wondering when and how that bill might be presented. now, russia is offering to take the palestinian helots under its wing. the combination of desperado and russian bomb-maker will give mossad something extra to worry about. all of humanity has a phrase which translates as 'serves you right!' and israel is over-due. but i think russia has nothing to gain by arming palestine. they may simply wish to create a friend who can be a cheap work-shop, or an intelligence source. probably it is that simple, creating a little extra worry for mossad and cia. if russia wants to cultivate iran, and palestine, as partners in resistance to usa and its clients, there is nothing mossad can do about it. it is just another facet of the re-adjustment of international affairs from changes in power and prosperity. mossad is not shy about killing a few people it doesn't like, but killing russians will be very expensive.
