suppose california decided to secede. had a referendum, 70% said "leave." would they be allowed to go? ask the people of georgia. if you are in doubt, there are other states you can ask. taiwan was part of china, and usa agreed that taiwan was part of china. if the prc wants their province back, they have law and precedent on their side. taiwan can only leave prc through military rebellion. this can only succeed with usa military support. do you want taiwan so much?
