  1. i don't see any sign of it. some societies just keep sailing ahead, bailing while they can, until they meet the rocks. there is a notable lack of public discussion of politics, even while there is scrabbling for a seat at the elite political table. so far as i know, even dernie and aoc don't dare say 'new constitution.' it shouldn't be impossible to bring democracy to the federal society, several states did it, in the progressive movement of early 1900's. but not a word is heard.
