  1. che got a bullet in the head. and the evil empire still prevails, even if cracks are appearing. evil triumphs, more often than not. only people with nothing left to lose can enter the struggle even if success seems very unlikely. that is why almost everyone only watches, and does not fight.

  2. people could organize to demonstrate that the great majority want democracy. but they don't. do you imagine that a tiny minority of activists, most fixated on symptoms rather than causes of injustice, can change any fundamental aspect of their society? on evidence to date, homo sapiens does not have the qualities necessary to survive, in the age where its only significant threat is its own weaknesses of character and intelligence.
