  1. it is a dream. the swiss have democracy, and stay away from the eu as much as possible. they know what democracy is, and practice it better than anyone else. not much competition. there can't be transnational democracy, only transnational bureaucracy- a very different thing. yv should have stayed in athens, and brought democracy back to hellas. just to demonstrate it could be done in a small theater. but that wasn't a big enough stage, or maybe just too hard. so now he's a transnational talking-head, but democracy means 'the citizens rule,' not talking-heads.
