usa politics is not a game, with rules and umpires. pretending it is a democracy, of/by/for the people is not only childish, it makes it impossible to achieve lasting reform. complaints about 'rigging' are a nonsense.of course they are rigged. the democratic party exists to advance the interests of its members, much like a mafia gang, allowing them to conduct the selection process would be absurd, if americans were competent adults interested in promoting justice for all. clearly they are not. americans have inherited a political system, complete with supporting myths, that was designed to ensure the rule of wealth. worst of all, they are indoctrinated with these myths so successfully that even 'progressives' can not conceive of changing the system- the limit of their aspiration is a kind master.
