  1. the usa people bought a cow, back in 1789, which it has suited their masters to call a race horse. it doesn't win races, they don't even hope for milk, and they are endlessly perplexed at its lack of performance. there is something wrong with the character of the usa people, they have heard of democracy, and don't want it. they are told they have democracy, and they are satisfied, even though their 'democracy' is unresponsive to the will of the citizens. they complain endlessly at the activities of their masters, and accept their station, as serfs. the resolution of these dysfunctions is prevented by a public education system that invented double-think and newspeak before orwell was born. between mal-education and continuing mystification it is unlikely that usa will ever recover from its birth as a society devoted to slavery and the rule of wealth. even people making money from complaining can not see the roots of their discontent.
